This little town nestled 170 miles from Mexico City is one of the dreamiest places I have been.
The town center is made of buildings preserved from the 17th and 18th centuries, lined with narrow cobblestone roads, and Mexican art hanging in every corner. It's a place I never thought existed in real life. The rich history and vibrant colors of the streets, shops and cafes were from a dream, and I didn't want to wake up.
I spent three days at Casa Hyder, an 11 bedroom and 11 bathroom labyrinth of gardens, terraces, and a pool at the heart of the property. Each bedroom is appropriately named by the color on the walls and every piece of art or trinket has a story.
